PW/17-08 Roadway Improvement at Three location
Town of Brookline has begun the reconstruction and roadway improvement project at the following three locations:
- Greenough Street
- The intersection of Blake Road, Rawson Road and Gardner Road
- The intersection of Blake Road and Tappan Street
This project was awarded to Newport Construction and will begin construction starting early June. The project for construction is based on sidewalks, curbing, roadway surface, pavement markings, plantings and signing. Construction will be done portions from one location to another and substantially completing each section before moving onto the next portion.
Brookline Engineering would like to notify careful coordination and public cooperation with this construction effort will be critical to its successful and timely completion.

Rawson Road, Gardner Road, Blake Road, Blake RD & Tappan ST.:
On July 15th thru Early August , work hours from 11:00 am -7:00 pm.
Newport construction will be grinding and removing top two inch of roadway surface and will remain as grooved surface until the pavement is applied.
Residents with driveway or private way access on should plan to remove their vehicles Prior to 11:00 am on Saturday July 15th, as access will be restricted until approximately 7:00 pm.
Curbside parking will be prohibited within active work zones along Greenough Street, but re-open at the of the work day. Also Divers should be use Caution for both during and after the roadway milling operations.
Blake Rd,Tappan St, Rawson Rd, Gardner Rd & Blake Rd: Update
On Wednesday July 19th Newport construction will begin milling (grinding) and removing the top two inches of the roadway surface.
The roadway will remain as a groove surface until the pavement is applied. Repaving, weather permitting is scheduled to begin early August.
Roadway work will be between 7:00 A.M. thru 2:00 P.M. & 10:00 A.M. thru 4:00 P.M.
Residents with driveway or private way access on should plan to remove their vehicles prior to 11:00 A.M on Wednesday, July 19, as access will be restricted until approximately 5:00 P.M. Please park on an adjacent side streets should you anticipate using your vehicle during the day
Curbside parking will be prohibited within active work zones, but re-open at the end of the work day.
Drivers should be using CAUTION both during and after the roadway milling operations.
The police department will be notified that you can’t use your driveways due to construction.
