PUBLIC HEARINGS – LOCAL HISTORIC DISTRICTS

6:40 PM          305 Reservoir Road/54 Reservoir Lane (Chestnut Hill North LHD) – Application for a Certificate of Appropriateness to: modify previously approved design for new single family house by replacing cedar clapboards (4” exposure) with 5” exposed cedar shingles; add outdoor fireplace and stone veneer at left façade; add dormers at the front and rear elevations; and add a round attic window at the front elevation. (Stephen Hilt and Gregory Fenton, applicants).

7:00 PM          14 Allerton Street (Pill Hill LHD, continued review) – Application for a Certificate of Appropriateness to: replace deteriorated siding, shingles, trim, slates, etc. on existing house and garage; remove clay chimney pots and install new chimney caps/vents (2 per chimney); repoint existing brick chimneys and stone foundation; replace and/or install various vents; install copper snow guards; install copper downspouts; replace all basement windows; replace existing skylight; replace 2 windows on main portion of house; replace shutters; replace asphalt roof at garage; replace existing garage doors; install ac condensers; construct a shed (behind relocated garage) connected by solid fencing to screen proposed new generator; proposed landscape changes including stone retaining walls behind new addition; remove a portion of existing stone retaining wall along Allerton Street to widen driveway; and replace existing fences along property lines with new fencing (Chris Wilmott, applicant).

7:30 PM          100 Walnut Place (Pill Hill LHD) – Application for a Certificate of                         Appropriateness to:    demolish the existing freestanding garage and construct an attached garage; construct a           porch along the northeast elevation; install composite siding, trim and columns at select       locations on all elevations; restore and/or relocate select existing windows; install select           new insulated true divided light wood windows and doors; install various vents; replace    and relocate existing downspouts (Carrie and David Worn, applicants).

8:00 PM          94 Walnut Place (Pill Hill LHD) – Application for a Certificate of             Appropriateness to:  construct a two-story addition extending from the southeast corner of the existing building; enclose existing entrance porch at southwest elevation; install new double-hung windows on northwest and southeast elevations (Claudia Noury-Ello, applicant).

8:30 PM          80 Toxteth Street – Application for the partial demolition of the house and full demolition       of the garage (80 Toxteth LLC, applicant).

9:00 PM          808 Washington Street – Request to lift the stay of partial demolition of the house (Jonathan Raisz, applicant).

NEW BUSINESS AND UPDATES

  • Commission discussion and potential vote to support the MPPF application and the Save America’s Treasures application for proposed restoration work at the Reservoir Gate House.
