The Schools Subcommittee of the Advisory Committee will hold public hearing on Thursday, April 19 at 6:15 pm in Room 308 to consider Warrant Articles 23 (Devotion School renaming) and 36 (Washington St. renaming).


AGENDA

1. Public hearing on Article 23 to change the name of the Edward Devotion School to the Roland B. Hayes School, or other appropriate name
2. Subcommittee discussion and vote on a recommendation to the Advisory Committee on Article 23
3. Public hearing on Article 36 - Resolution to ask the Naming Committee to consider renaming all or parts of Washington Street
4. Subcommittee discussion and vote on a recommendation to the Advisory Committee on Article 36

This meeting is a public hearing. During the public hearing, members of the public will have an opportunity to offer comments on items under consideration. The subcommittee also welcomes written comments, which will be circulated to members of the subcommittee if they are sent to the subcommittee chair and/or lportscher@brooklinema.gov no later than 12:00 noon on the day prior to meeting. Subcommittees of the Advisory Committee hold public hearings on any matter on which the Advisory Committee makes a recommendation to Town Meeting. Members of the public are encouraged to attend subcommittee public hearings if they wish to comment on any item under deliberation by the subcommittee.
