ADVISORY COMMITTEE MEETING NOTICE

Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at 7:30 pm, Room 103

 AGENDA

1. OPEN SESSION
Question of whether the Advisory Committee shall enter into Executive Session for the purpose of reviewing executive session minutes and determining whether they can be released, pursuant to the exemption to comply with, or act under the authority of, any general or special law or federal grant-in-aid requirements (G.L. c. 30A, s. 21(a)(7)).

Question of whether the Advisory Committee shall enter into Executive Session for the purpose of reviewing and possibly taking remedial action regarding an Open Meeting Law Complaint received on or about April 12, 2018, pursuant to the exemption to discuss the reputation, character, physical condition or mental health, rather than professional competence of an individual, or to discuss the discipline or dismissal of, or complaints or charges brought against, a public officer, employee, staff member of individual (G.L. c. 30A, s. 21(a)(1)). 

2. PROPOSED EXECUTIVE SESSION- TO COMPLY WITH, OR ACT UNDER THE AUTHORITY OF, ANY GENERAL OR SPECIAL LAW OR FEDERAL GRANT-IN-AID REQUIREMENTS (G.L. c. 30A, s. 21(a)(7))
For the purpose of reviewing executive session minutes and determining whether they can be released.   

3. PROPOSED EXECUTIVE SESSION- TO DISCUSS THE REPUTATION, CHARACTER, PHYSICAL CONDITION OR MENTAL HEALTH, RATHER THAN PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCE OF AN INDIVIDUAL, OR TO DISCUSS THE DISCIPLINE OR DISMISSAL OF, OR COMPLAINTS OR CHARGES BROUGHT AGAINST, A PUBLIC OFFICER, EMPLOYEE, STAFF MEMBER OF INDIVIDUAL (G.L. c. 30A, S. 21(a)(1))
For the purpose of reviewing and discussing possible remedial action regarding an Open Meeting Law Complaint received on or about April 12, 2018.

4. Review, discussion, and possible vote on Warrant Article 8: Acceptance of certain modifications to public ways and authorization for the acquisition of permanent easements related to the Gateway East project. (Department of Public Works) 

5. Review, discussion, and possible vote on Warrant Article 9: Authorization for the acquisition of and funding for certain temporary and permanent easements related to the Gateway East project. (Department of Public Works)

6. Review, discussion, and possible vote on Warrant Article 10: Release of a pedestrian bridge easement related to the Gateway East project. (Department of Public Works)

7. Review, discussion, and possible vote on Warrant Article 11: Authorization for the grant of a permanent easement for parking related to the Gateway East project. (Department of Public Works)

8. Review, discussion, and possible vote Warrant Article 12: Authorization for funding a portion of the Town’s construction match related to the Gateway East project. (Planning and Community Development)

9. Further Discussion and Vote on School Operating Budget 

10. Possible Reconsideration of Article 15 – Storm Water Bylaws

11. Other business

The public is invited to attend however this meeting is not a public hearing so public comments will not be taken at the meeting. The Advisory Committee welcomes written comments, which will be circulated to members of the Committee if they are sent to lportscher@brooklinema.gov no later than 12:00 noon on the day of the meeting. Subcommittees of the Advisory Committee hold public hearings on any matter on which the Advisory Committee makes a recommendation to Town Meeting. Members of the public are encouraged to attend subcommittee public hearings if they wish to comment on any item under deliberation by the subcommittee.
