Agenda:
Accessory dwelling units are under consideration in communities nationwide – urban, suburban and rural – as a tool for increasing the flexibility of the single family housing stock to address changing demographics and the housing needs facing a range of households, from single individuals, to young families, to the aging population. In anticipation of developing a warrant article for Spring Town Meeting permitting accessory dwelling units, the Housing Advisory Board initially sent a questionnaire to over 900 single family home owners. After further study, and taking into consideration some 190 responses, we have developed a proposal for a subset of single family districts. We now invite you to a presentation of this proposal, and look forward to hearing your comments.
