What do we plan for 2011-2012?
• Continue our education and outreach activities with a particular emphasis on reinvigorating
recycling and improving the information and appearance of the website and facebook.
• Continue to figure out ways to demonstrate that there is interest and value in diverting food
from the waste stream.
• Continue to educate about PAYT. The more people know about it the less they fear it. Our trash
costs keep going up. The environmental issues don’t go away. And we need to make good on the
Advisory Committee’s 1992 insistence that the system be equitable.
• Work with the Board of Selectmen and the Town meeting to pass a Zero Waste resolution in
Spring 2012.
• Advise the Board of Selectmen to pass an Extended Producer Responsibility resolution.
