The Brookline Conservation Commission and the Open Space Plan Committee would like to invite you to attend our final upcoming public meeting on March 24 at 7 pm at Town Hall, to provide input, share issues and discuss opportunities with regard to parks, nature sanctuaries and other open space in Brookline. We are currently beginning the process of updating the Town’s Open Space Plan for 2010, as required by the state Division of Conservation Services. The current Open Space Plan from 2005 is available at www.brooklinema.gov/Parks/Conservation. The Open Space Plan is an important planning document that is actively used by the Town to guide decisions regarding Brookline’s open spaces. Public input is particularly important in creating a plan that is useful and meets the needs of the community now and in the future.

The meeting will include a short introduction and informational session on the existing Open Space Plan and how it is used, and will be followed by an open discussion with the public. All are welcome and encouraged to attend and to share their thoughts and ideas on open space.  For further information, please call 617-730-2008.
