Hancock Village 40A Proposal

Chestnut Hill Realty has submitted preliminary plans for a Major Impact Project at Hancock Village located at 140 Gerry Road and 117 Independence Drive.

The proposal is for an apartment building and a Community Center for the residents of Hancock Village constructed in place of the existing Gerry and Independence garages respectively. The “Gerry building” is a three story, 44,643 sf, 36-unit apartment building including 24: one bedroom and 12: two bedroom units. The Community Center is a three story, 24,500 sf +/- facility that includes an outdoor pool, Wi-Fi center, community kitchen, exercise facilities, theatre and leasing offices for Hancock Village. Both buildings would be serviced by 210 surface parking spaces, including 72 dedicated spaces for the Gerry building as required by the Zoning By-law and 138 spaces that are required to replace the existing parking inside and associated with the two parking garages that will be demolished.
