Safe Sharps & Medicine Disposal

The Brookline Department of Public Health would like to share safe ways to dispose of sharps, medicine and other hazardous materials, including vaping devices. Safe disposal of these products will prevent poisoning, misuse or overdose.

Sharps Disposal

The Town provides two locations for residents to dispose of used sharps. Please make sure all needles are securely sealed in a heavy plastic (i.e., water bottle or laundry detergent bottle) or metal container (i.e., coffee canister) before placing them into the receptacles. Do not place loose needles into the disposal.
