- Skyline Park Field Replacement
Skyline Park, a popular park within the Town of Brookline, is part of the 15-acre site of a former landfill that was closed and capped through a MassDEP landfill closure process and made into a public park in 2008. Skyline Park is located on the top of the former front landfill, and slopes away on all sides with a connection to the Lost Pond Sanctuary. The current park includes a children’s playground, walking paths, a picnic pavilion, restroom facility, parking area and a synthetic turf field. This project addresses replacement of the existing synthetic turf field only. The current field is surfaced by synthetic turf/ SBR rubber infill system that was installed during the original park completion in 2008. It is nearing the end of its serviceable life. The existing rectangular field is approximately 255-ft by 390-ft, and is primarily used for soccer and rugby.
We invite you to participate in our REMOTE public design review process for the renovation of field at Skyline Park. The kick-off meeting is an opportunity to talk about existing conditions and the replacement of the synthetic field.
