- Zero Waste Program
The Town of Brookline's DPW is working to increase the diversion rate away from landfill and incineration to at least 70% by 2030. We can't get there without the help of support of Brookline residents like you! We encourage you to take advantage of the many programs on offer to Brookline residents, from textile and hazardous waste recycling, to our current Black Earth Compost incentive program (a free compost starter kit to any new subscriber!). If you are interested in further supporting Brookline's Zero Waste Program, please consider serving as a volunteer, either at our upcoming events or to support our school compost programs. To learn more, please contact [email protected].
The Zero Waste Framework outlines a multi-year plan for Brookline to divert 70% of it's waste by 2030.
