Chestnut Hill Commercial Area Study

Last updated 1/10/2024

Background

On November 8, 2023, the Select Board voted to approve the Planning and Community Development Department's Economic Development and Long-Term Planning Division's proposal to examine opportunities for incentivizing significant net new commercial tax growth, while enhancing the livability and identity of the Chestnut Hill commercial area.

This staff-led study will be informed by a community advisory group comprised of representatives from both key boards and committees and from the surrounding Chestnut Hill neighborhood. The Economic Development and Long-Term Planning Division will produce a final report to the Select Board with recommendations, implementation measures, and any appropriate rezoning proposals and design guidelines for Town Meeting's consideration.
