- Brookline Commission for the Arts
The Brookline Commission for the Arts develops and enriches the diverse cultural activities of the Town of Brookline and encourages engagement of and collaboration among individuals, private groups, and public organizations.
Commissioners, qualified volunteers with an array of expertise, are appointed by the Board of Selectmen for two-year terms, and are bound by the state's ethics laws and requirements that apply to all municipal employees.
As authorized by the Massachusetts Cultural Council (MCC), the BCA awards arts grants to individuals, groups, and organizations through an annual statewide application process. Follow this link for more grant details.
A juried art exhibition displays the work of local artists and students at Brookline Town Hall every four months.
The Town of Brookline's Poet Laureate program seeks to celebrate poetry and promote awareness and appreciation for the literary arts.
Annual recognition of an individual/organization for significant contribution to Brookline's cultural life.
The BCA collaborates with other cultural organizations to offer live performance opportunities for musicians, poets, and spoken word artists.
