Cleveland Circle Update

Posted on September 17, 2014 at 12:50 PM by Kara Brewton

Remember that all plans continue to be posted at the Town's project site for the Circle Cinema site (375-399 Chestnut Hill Avenue), including the presentation made at the July 16th Design Advisory Team meeting. Also on this page you can find the formal Special Permit application package. We will send out another email blast once a Planning Board meeting is scheduled (likely October).

Town staff has prepared Town Meeting warrant articles and explanations for this November's Special Town Meeting (Fall 2014) that are related to sewer easements and sewers that are no longer in use and traverse the rear yards of some Clinton Road residential abutters, through the project site, and into the City of Boston. These articles (Articles 4 and 5) are also connected with the previously signed Payment in Lieu of Taxes (PILOT) and Developer's Agreement. Article 6 allows the Selectmen to carry out the terms of the Payment in Lieu of Taxes (PILOT) and Development Agreement and also authorizes the Selectmen to enter into any further agreement(s) or amendments, such as an Escrow Agreement outlining the terms upon which a portion of the Town’s Sewer Easement that runs through the property would be released or any amendment to the existing Agreement(s) which would further benefit the Town with respect to the current proposed development of the site. Public hearings to review Articles 4, 5, and 6 are scheduled with the Advisory Committee and Selectmen. Those meetings are tentatively scheduled for the evenings of September 23rd, 30th, and October 6th; please refer to the Town's meeting calendar for the latest information on those meetings.

Links to all these documents are also on the Town's project site.
