Posted on December 29, 2017 at 11:03 AM by Stephanie Orsini

In observance of the New Year's Holiday on Monday, January 1st, please note the following for the Town of Brookline:

CLOSINGS AND MODIFIED HOURS:

TRASH AND RECYCLING PICKUP INFORMATION:

The Department of Public Works has announced that for those on the Town's trash service, trash and recycling pickup will not occur on New Year's Day (Monday, Jan. 1, 2018). Pickup will occur on a 1-day delay (Friday's pickup will take place on Saturday). Please plan accordingly.

* Christmas trees may be placed at the curb for collection on your trash day from December 26th thru January 12th. In order to be picked up, trees must be free of plastic bags, ornaments, tinsel and lights.

PARKING:

The Brookline Police Department has announced that the overnight parking restrictions will be lifted both Sunday night (Dec. 31, 2017) and Monday night (Jan. 1, 2018)  with regular parking restrictions resuming at 6am on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 (subject to change in the event of a snow emergency).

GIVING THANKS:

Please remember to thank our public safety members who will be working during the holiday - thank you Brookline Fire Department, Brookline Police Department, and Fallon Ambulance Service! We appreciate your service and commitment to the Brookline community!

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL THOSE CELEBRATING!
