MLK Celebration Committee Seeks Resident Input and Involvement

Posted on February 1, 2016 at 2:09 PM by Stephanie Orsini

One of the most educated communities in the United States, the Town of Brookline MA recently invited residents to read academic papers prior to attending the Brookline MLK Day program. Find ”White by Law” and “White Fragility,” then watch the MLK Day video and provide feedback found on the MLK Celebration Committee webpage. Be part of ongoing efforts to better understand and improve racial climate in our community.

The program features Susan Maze-Rothstein, professor of Law at Northeastern and herself an Edward Devotion, BHS, Cornell and Boston College Law alumna, who introduces possible solutions, including embracing practices of Restorative Justice.

This invitation is brought to you by volunteer members of the Town of Brookline MLK Celebration Committee. Any resident can apply to join this committee.
