5. 2021 SPECIAL TOWN MEETING WARRANT ARTICLES 

a. PUBLIC HEARING, Discussion, and Possible Vote on October 5, 2021 Special Town Meeting Article 2:

To see if the Town will vote to appropriate, borrow or transfer from available funds, $4,900,000, or any other sum, to be expended under the direction of the Building Commission, with any necessary contracts over $100,000 to be approved by the Select Board and the School Committee, to provide a fossil-fuel-free Ground Source Heat Pump system for the new Driscoll School. 8. PROPOSED EXECUTIVE SESSION Motion to meet in Executive Session, pursuant to Massachusetts General laws chapter 30A section 21(a) for the following purposes:

Purpose 3, to discuss strategy with respect to collective bargaining with the Brookline Educators Union (BEU) (Units A, B, and Paraprofessionals), if an open meeting may have a detrimental effect on the bargaining and litigating position of the public body and the chair so declares;

Purpose 7, to review and approve executive session minutes from the following meeting: September 9, 2021.
