Public Comment period for residents who requested to speak to the Board regarding Town issues not on the Calendar.

 

Up to fifteen minutes for public comment shall be scheduled each meeting. Persons wishing to speak may sign up in advance beginning on the Friday preceding the meeting or may sign up in person at the meeting. Speakers will be taken up in the order they sign up. Question of concurring with the Advisory Committee’s authorization of a transfer from the Town's Liability/Catastrophe Fund to pay for settlement of (i) two pre-suit claims by current employees who allege unlawful sexual harassment; and (ii) the matter of Maryam Karimi vs. Town of Brookline, U.S. Dist Ct. Civil Action Number 20-12127, a former Library employee who alleges unlawful retaliation, and to authorize the Town Administrator to enter into any agreement on behalf of the Select Board memorializing these proposed settlements.

Question of granting an extension to the earlier issued Noise By-Law waiver given Aetna Bridge Co. (running 9/23 – 10/2) for the newly needed period extending from 7:00PM, Friday, October 7, 2022 through 8:30AM, Sunday, October 16, 2022, again piggy-backing on a planned MBTA 9-day Greenline D-branch shutdown, to allow for the craning and setting of the rehabilitated Carlton St Footbridge span and associated work above the MBTA tracks.
