MBTA-CA Multifamily Permitting Committee -
June 3, 2023 1 – 3 PM
Site visits will convene outside the front door of Town Hall, 333 Washington Street and then continue at a series of locations throughout Town as noted below.
No Committee deliberations or decisions will be made at these site visits. The purpose of these on-site inspections are to photograph and otherwise document typical conditions of the existing built form in a variety of Multifamily (M) District neighborhoods, as viewed from the public way. While on-site inspections (site visits) are not subject to Open Meeting Law, we will publicly announce at each location where we’re headed to next for any members of the public that are interested in following along. You can also email [email protected] during the meeting with any questions.
Observations made by staff and committee members will then be discussed at the next Committee meeting, scheduled for June 9th at 2 pm, which will be held remotely via zoom. The Committee is studying, among other ideas, to what extent the Multifamily Districts might be a suitable option to comply, or partially comply, with the MBTA Communities Act.
Sites may be visited in the following approximate order, time permitting:
Intersection of Kendall Street & Prince Street
Intersection of Rawson Road and Claflin Road
Intersection of Washington Street and Fairbanks Street
Intersection of Winchester Street and Williams Street
Intersection of John Street and Green Street
Intersection of Saint Paul and Alton Place
Harvard Avenue at Pierce School Playground
