JOINT PUBLIC MEETING

The Advisory Committee's Capital & Schools Subcommittees will hold a joint public meeting at 5:30 pm on December 4th in Room 103, Brookline Town Hall.

1. OPEN SESSION
a) Discussion of Vanasse & Associates (Giles Ham) Baldwin School Traffic Report
b) Public Statement by Attorney Dan Goldberg
c) Question of whether the Capital and Schools Subcommittees of the Advisory Committee shall enter into Executive Session for the purpose of discussing litigation strategy regarding the proposed construction of Baldwin 2+++
 
2. PROPOSED EXECUTIVE SESSION
    For the purpose of discussing litigation strategy regarding the proposed construction of Baldwin 2+++
 
3. OPEN SESSION

a) Further deliberation and vote on  Article 3 of the December 13, 2018 Special Town Meeting Warrant, submitted by the Select Board: To see if the Town will vote to release for expenditure the funds appropriated under Section 13, Special Appropriation No. 65 of Article 7 of the 2018 Annual Town Meeting as provided in said appropriation. (This article pertains to the release of $1,500,000 for the schematic design services to construct a new school on the current Baldwin School site - Heath Street)

b) Further deliberation and vote on Article 4 of the December 13, 2018 Special Town Meeting Warrant, submitted by the Select Board: To see if the Town will vote to authorize the Select Board to acquire, by purchase, gift, eminent domain or otherwise, in fee simple, the parcels of land located at 15-19 Oak Street, Brookline Massachusetts, including all buildings and structures thereon and all privileges and appurtenances thereto belonging, all interests held pursuant to M.G.L. c. 183A, as well as all trees and shrubs thereon, consisting of approximately 8,209 square feet, for general municipal purposes, and for all purposes and uses accessory thereto, including but not limited to the construction or expansion of school educational facilities and amenities, and that to meet such expenditure to appropriate a sum of money to be expended at the direction of the Selectmen, to pay costs of acquiring said property, and for the payment of all costs incidental and related thereto, and to determine whether such amount shall be raised by taxation, transfer from available funds, borrowing or otherwise; to authorize the Select Board to apply for, accept and expend any grants from any source whatsoever that may be available to pay any portion of this project or to take any other action relative thereto.

The public is invited to attend however this meeting is not a public hearing, so public comments, except as noted above, will not be taken at the meeting. The subcommittees welcome written comments, which will be circulated to members of the subcommittees if they are sent to the chairs no later than 12:00 noon on the day of the meeting.
