Public Comment period for citizens who requested to speak to the Board regarding Town issues not on the Calendar.

Up to fifteen minutes for public comment on matters not appearing on this Calendar shall be scheduled each meeting. Persons wishing to speak may sign up in advance beginning on the Friday preceding the meeting or may sign up in person at the meeting. Speakers will be taken up in the order they sign up. Question of accepting a grant from the State’s Executive Office of Public Safety and Security in the amount of $12,000.00 related to Traffic Enforcement Grant Program.

Question of accepting a grant from the Department of Mental Health in the amount of $66, 846.00 related to the Brookline Police Department’s Crisis Intervention Training efforts.

Question of accepting the following fire prevention/public education grants from the State’s Executive Office of Public Safety:

 

  • $6,754.00 for Student Awareness of Fire Education (S.A.F.E.)
  • $3,000.00 for Senior SAFE

Question of awarding and executing contract No. PW/18-22, “Sewer System Rehabilitation Project” in the amount of $1,485,700.00 with Green Mountain Pipeline Services, LLC.

Question of accepting a grant from the Brookline Community Foundation, NETA funds for $25,000.  The Office seeks the awarded grant funds to be appropriated for the Substance Abuse & Violence Prevention Program for Youth.

Question of granting a Temporary All Kinds Alcoholic Beverages Non-Sales License to Larz Anderson Auto Museum at 15 Newton Street for a Corporate Awards Dinner to be held on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 from 6:00pm-11:00pm.

HOUSING TRUST FUND

 

 

 

 

HAB Chair, Roger Blood, will appear before the Board to request approval of an additional $500,000 from the Housing Trust to support the 2Life (formerly JCHE) affordable senior housing project at 370 Harvard Street.  2Life Executive Director, Amy Schectman, will also appear to give the Board an update on the project.

 

 

 

 

a). HAB Chair, Roger Blood, will request that the Board approve an expenditure of Housing Trust funds, not to exceed $10,000, to retain Pam McKinney of Byrne McKinney Associates to provide the Town with financial modeling and consulting services related to the Town’s Inclusionary Zoning Bylaw.
