Select Board to announce recent and/or upcoming Events of Community Interest.

PUBLIC COMMENT

Public Comment period for citizens who requested to speak to the Board regarding Town issues not on the Calendar.

Up to fifteen minutes for public comment on matters not appearing on this Calendar shall be scheduled each meeting. Persons wishing to speak may sign up in advance beginning on the Friday preceding the meeting or may sign up in person at the meeting. Speakers will be taken up in the order they sign up. Advance registration is available by calling the Select Board’s office at 617-730-2202 or by e-mail at kmacgillivray@brooklinema.gov. MISCELLANEOUS

Approval of miscellaneous items, licenses, vouchers, and contracts.


3.A.

Question of authorizing the Chair to sign an emergency expenditure request with the Department of Revenue related to deficit spending for COVID-19.


3.B.

Question of accepting a grant in the amount of $18,750 from the Lawrence & Lillian Solomon Foundation Streets for the Recovery Grant Program to fund the purchase of materials needed to create a Transportation Board approved Expanded Sidewalk on Pleasant Street.


3.C.

Question of approving Contract No. PW/14-25 Amendments No. 1 to Master Agreement and Task Order No. 1 for ongoing consulting and engineering services with Brown and Caldwell.


3.D.

Question of approving Extra Work Order No. 1 in connect with Contract No. PW/18-03 Skyline Park Maintenance with Park Landscape Associates, Inc for an additional 90 days of landscape services in the amount of $10,575.


3.E.

Question of approving Extra Work Order No. 1 in connection with Contract No. PW/18-02 Beacon Street and General Grounds Maintenance with Park Landscape Associates, Inc for an additional 90 days of landscape services in the amount of $58,945.


3.F.

Question of approving Extra Work Order No. 2 in connection with Contract No. PW/18-01 Traffic Signal and Emergency Streetlight Services with Pine Ridge Technologies, Inc for an additional 90 days of traffic signal and emergency streetlight services in the amount of $20,000.

Question of approving Extra Work Order No. 3 in connect with Contract No. PW/18-01 Traffic Signal and Emergency Streetlight Services with Pine Ridge Technologies, Inc in the amount of $15,000.

Question of modifying the Brookline Farmer's Market License.


3.I.

Question of executing the Memorandum of Agreement By and Between the Town of Brookline and Welltower, Inc. and Welltower TRS Holdco LLC, and delegating authority to the Chair to execute in person on behalf of the Board.


3.J.

Question of extending, for an additional two-year period, the Ambulance Service Agreement between the Town of Brookline and Fallon Emergency Medical Services, Inc, originally effective January 1, 2016.  The Select Board is taking this matter up on an emergency basis because the term of the original Ambulance Service Agreement, absent the extension, terminates on June 30, 2020.

Question of approving the School Department's transfer request of the balance of the Vocational Education Account (29902990) of approximately $43,159 to 313099-524631 offset transportation costs for out of district students.
