The Brookline Department of Public Works is excited to host the third annual Bike Rodeo to promote bicycle safety and maintenance awareness.
The Bike Rodeo will take place on Saturday, May 20, from 10 a.m. - 11 a.m. and again from 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. in the Brookline Town Hall Parking Lot. The event, open to K-6th graders and their families, will run rain or shine.
This exciting event aligns with the Brookline Department of Public Works' mission to create a safer, more inclusive and connected community. The day is dedicated to the younger residents of Brookline, providing them with the skills needed to ride their bikes safely and understand their maintenance.
Participants will be able to learn from the professionals on various aspects of biking like helmet fit and placement, on-bike skills, safe bike riding, basic maintenance, and tips for riding in Brookline. Brookline DPW staff will be on hand to demonstrate and guide participants through each skill station.
