[ARCHIVED] Free Outdoor Concerts & Movies this Summer

The Brookline Recreation Department and the Department of Parks and Open Space are offering free outdoor concerts and movies this summer in Brookline.

FREE OUTDOOR CONCERTS:

Free Summer Concerts are held Wednesday evenings from July 8th thru August 12th at the Daniel F. Ford Playground at Emerson Garden (located on Davis Avenue behind the Brookline Police Station). All shows begin at 6pm; for weather cancellations, please visit the Brookline Recreation Department website or call 617-730-2069. Participants are asked to bring their own blankets or folding chairs and a flashlight for an easier exit following the concerts. Parking will be limited; viewers are urged to walk, carpool or use public transportation. Alcoholic beverages are prohibited. For complete details, please download the Concert Series flyer.

FREE OUTDOOR MOVIES:

Summer Movies in the Park are held Fridays in July starting on July 10th at the Driscoll School Playground, 64 Westbourne Terrace. Movies start 30 minutes after dusk (approximately 8:30pm). Participants are asked to bring their own blankets or folding chairs and a flashlight for an easier exit following the films. Parking will be limited; viewers are urged to walk, carpool or use public transportation. Alcoholic beverages are prohibited. Movies will be not be rescheduled if high wind or rain occurs. Help reduce impact on the environment, bring your own refillable water bottle! This year's movie series theme is "Family of Friends" featuring Paddington, Despicable Me, Meet the Robinsons, and Big Hero 6.
