[ARCHIVED] Christmas and New Year's Holiday Information

In observance of the Christmas Day and New Year's Day Holidays on Monday, Dec. 26th and Monday, Jan. 2nd, all Town and School Offices, Public Safety Windows and Public Libraries will be closed. There will no trash/recycling collection on either holiday; pickup will be on a holiday schedule for the remainder of each week. The overnight parking ban in Brookline is waived on both Saturday, December 31st and Sunday, January 1st. In addition, parking meters will be free on Monday, January 2nd.  


Public Schools of Brookline are closed for Winter Break from Friday, December 23, 2016 thru Monday, January 2, 2017. Classes resume on Tuesday, January 3, 2017. 


Christmas trees can be placed at the curb on your regular trash collection day from Tuesday, December 27th until Tuesday, January 31st. Please remove plastic bags, ornaments, tinsel and lights (only bare trees will be picked up).
