[ARCHIVED] Brookline Snow Emergency, Parking Ban & Closings


A Snow Emergency/Parking Ban will be in effect from 6:00am on Tuesday, March 13th thru 7:00am on Wednesday, March 14th. 


Parking will be prohibited on all public ways while the snow emergency is in effect. Residents with permits to park overnight in Town-owned lots are not required to move their vehicles until 9am after the parking ban is lifted.


There will be no trash and recycling collection on Tuesday, March 13th. Trash routes for Tuesday through Friday will be delayed by one day.


** Update (as of 7:30pm on 3/13/18): Brookline Public Schools will be closed on Wednesday, March 14th. All afternoon and evening activities are also cancelled on March 14th. All school and administrative offices will be open. 

** Update (as of 5:15pm on 3/13/18): All Town services will resume and Town Hall offices and facilities will open at their regular time on Wednesday, March 14th. 

Non-emergency services are cancelled and Town Hall and its facilities will be closed on Tuesday, March 13th. 

The Public Schools of Brookline will be closed on Tuesday, March 13th, including all school and administrative offices. All afternoon and evening activities are also cancelled for Tuesday.


The March 13th deadline for incumbent Town Meeting Members to file their intention to seek re-election has been extended to Wednesday, March 14th at 5:00pm. Please contact the Office of the Town Clerk for further information 617-730-2010.
