Small Business Development Committee:
At their July 9th meeting, the Select Board created the Small Business Development Committee. Information about the committee’s formal charge and how to apply to the committee can be found here.
The committee seeks to include “residents, a representative of the Chamber of Commerce and/or local business associations, small business owners, commercial property owners, a member with expertise in public art programming, and a member with expertise in small business assistance”.
The Select Board is hoping to make committee appointments by September, so please encourage anyone interested in serving on the committee to apply as soon as possible.

Boylston Street Corridor Study Committee:
Applications for the Boylston Street Corridor Study Committee are also open. Anyone interested in serving on the committee can submit an application here.
Drawing on the community visioning process undertaken in 2018, the Boylston Street Corridor Study Committee will comprehensively examine opportunities for preservation of housing stock, redevelopment, and infrastructure improvements along the Boylston Street Corridor. The committee’s work will focus on the area of Brookline immediately surrounding Boylston Street (State Route 9) from Brington Road eastward to High Street, but may also include other adjacent areas as deemed appropriate.
