AREA CODE ART FAIR: THE STOREFRONT PROJECT

Launching in August 2020, Area Code Art Fair is the first art fair exclusively featuring contemporary artists with ties to New England. Conceived of by Boston-based curators, the Fair will feature works by artists in Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut. In partnership with Space Us, the Fair will invite 2020 graduates from all Masters programs in New England to submit artworks to be displayed in the windows of storefronts, allowing them to showcase their work—a tradition that was cancelled as a result of the abbreviated school term. Select projects will also be featured in storefronts alongside student shows.

Lease holders and property owners can get involved by sponsoring a space! Whether you operate a small business or have an empty shell, all commercial spaces on the ground floor are welcome. There is no minimum or maximum SF requirements, but we are looking for spaces that have windows to display work, or surfaces that might be available for displaying paintings or projecting onto. If interested, businesses should contact us at [email protected] by July 10.
