townseal

Sidewalk Snow enforcement-The storm end time is Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at 9:00 AM.

Commercial and multi-family (more than 4 units) sidewalk enforcement begins at 12:00 PM on February 2, 2021, and residential (less than 4 units) begins on February 3, 2021 at 3:00 PM.

Brookline’s bylaws require property owners to “maintain sidewalks contiguous to their property in a non-slippery condition suitable for pedestrian travel by clearing all snow and ice from a pathway at least thirty-six (36) inches in width”.  The cleared walk must comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act, including the removal of snow and ice from any adjoining wheelchair ramps or curb cuts.

Please help all members of our community move safely through Town and comply with the bylaw as soon as possible within the required timeframe.

Failure to comply with the Town’s Snow Removal Bylaw could results in fines ranging from $100-$250 per day.
