The Brookline Office of Emergency Management (OEM) works to help both Brookline's government and residents prepare for and respond to emergencies.

Department Mission

The mission of the Brookline Office of Emergency Management is to help coordinate local, state, federal, voluntary, and private resources during emergencies and disasters effecting the Town of Brookline.

The Brookline OEM:

  • Develops plans for effective response to all types of hazards, disasters, or threats
  • Trains emergency personnel to protect the public
  • Provides information to residents and businesses
  • Assist individuals, families, and businesses to mitigate against, prepare for, respond to, and recover from emergencies, both natural and man made
