7:00 pm Executive Session – Litigation
For the purpose of discussing strategy with respect to three separate litigation matters, specifically, (a) Maryam Karimi vs. Town of Brookline, U.S. Dist Ct. Civil Action Number 20-12127, a former Library employee who alleges unlawful retaliation, and (b) two pre-suit claims by current employees who allege unlawful sexual harassment, if an open meeting may have a detrimental effect on the bargaining or litigating position of the public body and the chair so declares.
8:30 pm Open Session
1. For the purpose of authorizing a transfer from the Town's Liability/Catastrophe Fund to settle the three separate litigation matters discussed above.
2. Preliminary discussion of the Warrant for the Special Town Meeting

Public comment is welcome only during open session and only during the public comment and hearing portion of the agenda. The Advisory Committee welcomes written comments, which will be circulated to members of the Committee if they are sent to [email protected] no later than noon on the day of the meeting. Subcommittees of the Advisory Committee hold public hearings on any matter on which the Advisory Committee makes a recommendation to Town Meeting. Members of the public are encouraged to participate in subcommittee public hearings if they wish to comment on any item under deliberation by the subcommittee. All public comments become part of the public record. Any member of the public may make an audio or video recording of an open session of a public meeting. They must first notify the chair and must comply with reasonable requirements regarding audio or video equipment established by the chair so as not to interfere with the meeting.
