  3. (7:10pm) Pedestrian and Bicycle Safety Issues in South Brookline

Richard Murphy, South Brookline resident, will present the pedestrian safety aspects of a significant project he has proposed to Brookline Transportation to create a safe bicycling route to the High School along Independence/Grove/Newton/Clyde/Lee etc.

4. (7:45pm) Red-Light Automated Enforcement – Discussion

In 2022 a Select Board Committee strongly opposed automated enforcement of red light traffic violations, yet this Committee has strongly recommended such enforcement. Should we reconsider?  Ref: 2022 Report “Committee Considerations Regarding Red Light Camera Traffic Enforcement” from the Surveillance Technology and Military Equipment Study Committee

Next meeting:  Monday March 11, 2024.  We normally meet the 2nd Monday of each month

Exceptions:  June 10, 2024 may be a Town Meeting session; October 14 is Indigenous Peoples’ Day (meet Oct 7 instead); November 11 is Veterans Day
